The University of Alabama will announce Thursday, Feb. 13, that five students have received major national academic awards. A media availability with the award-winning students is planned for Thursday, Feb. 13, at 3:30 p.m. in the conference room on the first floor of Clark Hall on the UA campus.
For the second year, Tom Cherones, award-winning director and Tuscaloosa native, and his wife, Joyce Keener, a television writer, will teach a four-week advanced production class in the telecommunication and film department in The University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences.
