Dr. Stephen Kavanaugh, professor of mechanical engineering in The University of Alabama College of Engineering, was recently presented with Fellow Awards by two professional organizations. The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc. and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers each named Kavanaugh a 2003 Fellow.

Tiffany Cochran, anchorperson for the Atlanta news morning show “Alive News” and daughter of celebrity defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, will visit UA as a part of the University’s African-American Heritage Month celebration. Cochran will speak on “Renewal of Mind, Body, and Spirit Through Christ,” on Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom.
