TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A contest to find the best and brightest students to form The University of Alabama College Bowl Team will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the Ferguson Center.
Faculty and staff will serve as officials of the UA tournament. The competition is open to all students; individual academic departments, schools and colleges are also encouraged to sponsor a team. The campus competition will continue on Jan. 22-23 (same time and location) if necessary.
The winners will form a varsity team to represent the University at the College Bowl Regional Championship Tournament in February.
Varsity teams from some 300 schools across the nation compete in the College Bowl program each year. This long-running academic competition allows the brightest students to compete against one another in a test of intellect.
