UA Grad Receives NASA’s Highest Honor

George Hopson doesn’t consider himself a rocket scientist. The University of Alabama graduate claims to be “just a mechanical engineer who likes to analyze how things work.” And he’s been doing just that for 40 years at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.

Dr. Robert Witt Named UA President

Dr. Robert Witt has been named president of The University of Alabama. Witt comes to UA from the University of Texas at Arlington where he has served as president since 1995.

Nursing students graduating from The University of Alabama in May achieved a 100 percent passage rate on the national licensure exam for registered nurses, the test that qualifies them to practice.
