TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Dr. Linda Olivet, professor emeritus in The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing, was recently named winner of the 2002-2003 University Continuing Studies Education Association Region III Outstanding Education Faculty Award at the Region III meeting in Raleigh, N.C.
Olivet was nominated for this award as a result of receiving the UA College of Continuing Studies Award for Teaching Excellence in September. She received the award for her leadership and teaching in several programs on health and aging issues. Now, Olivet has been nominated by Dr. Geri Stone, assistant director of professional and management development programs in the UA College of Continuing Studies, for the National Award for Teaching Excellence for her work with programs on death and dying.
