UA Student Group Alabama Friends of Israel to Host Cultural Events in November

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s new student organization, Alabama Friends of Israel, will host two events in November.

“Israel from the Air” is a photo exhibit that will be displayed in the Ferguson Gallery from Nov. 1-22. The 25 aerial photos in the collection were taken by two Israeli Air Force reservists as they flew over the country. The collection includes photos of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, the Sea of Galilee and other historic locations within Israel. The event is open to the public and free of charge.

The King David Drummers Circle will be at UA on Nov. 6 for an interactive and exciting performance. Four Israeli drummers will be playing 20 African drums. They will be on the Ferguson Plaza from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., or in the Allen Bales Theatre in the event of bad weather. Admission is free. More information about the King David Drummers Circle can be found at www.kingdaviddrummers.com.
