TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Ten University of Alabama faculty members who participated in this summer’s technology workshop, sponsored by the Faculty Resource Center, will make their project presentations Friday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. in room 100 of the AIME building.

All UA faculty and staff, especially those interested in developing an online course, are welcome to attend.

Making presentations will be Dr. Olivia Kendrick, associate professor of human nutrition; Dr. Ralph Lane, professor of human nutrition; Dr. Lori McKinnon, associate professor of advertising and public relations; Debbie Morrison, assistant professor of human nutrition; Dr. Sarah Marshall, assistant professor of art; Dr. Michael Murphy, professor of anthropology; Dr. Mark Nelson, associate dean of communication studies; Dr. Cathy Pagani, associate professor of art; Dr. Sue Parker, assistant professor emerita of clothing, textiles & interior design; and Dr. Ronnie Stanford, professor of education.

These faculty members, selected from the 50 who submitted proposals, spent two weeks listening to experts from around campus on technology-related issues and working with the Faculty Resource Center staff to develop online courses. Under the proposal guidelines, these courses must promote self-pace, student-centered learning via WebCT, and must be delivered during the 2002-2003 academic year.
