Alumni and supporters of The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing will celebrate the College’s 25th anniversary on Saturday, April 27.

UA Football Players to Face Student Ambassadors in First Croquet Bowl

University of Alabama football team members will trade their pigskin for croquet mallets as they go wicket-to-wicket with student Ambassadors from UA’s College of Arts and Sciences in the first College of Arts and Sciences Croquet Bowl. The event will be held Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main Quadrangle of the UA campus and will benefit the United Way of West Alabama.

Visiting Professor to Give Lecture on Urbanization and Changing Southern Diet

Dr. Gary Green, professor emeriti from the geography department at the University of North Alabama, will give a lecture on “Urbanization, Wealth and Women at Work: The Changing Southern Diet” at The University of Alabama on Friday, April 19, at 1 p.m. in 214 Farrah Hall.

UA’s Diggs Honored at Women of Color Conference

Connie Diggs, assistant vice president for student affairs and director of the Russell Student Health Center at The University of Alabama, has been recognized as a “Technology All Star” at the Women of Color in Health, Science and Technology conference and awards ceremony held April 12-13 in Nashville, Tenn. She will also be featured in the Women of Color Conference Magazine.
