A program designed to help business executives devise strategies to deal with today’s turbulent economy is being introduced by The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.

UA Career Center to Hold Etiquette Seminar and Job Expo

The University of Alabama Career Center will host the second annual Dining and Etiquette Seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 7-9 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom. This event will allow students to enjoy a five-course meal while meeting with recruiters. A fashion show of interview business attire “do’s” and “don’ts” will also be a part of the event.

UA Museum & Arboretum to Host Valentine Dinner, Presentation on Antique Roses

The Alabama Museum of Natural History and The University of Alabama Arboretum will host a St. Valentine’s Day dinner featuring a presentation on antique roses, Feb. 14, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Smith Hall, located off 6th Avenue on the UA campus.

Tuscaloosa Area Dean’s List Students Named at UA

A total of 3,155 students enrolled during the fall 2001 term at The University of Alabama made the Dean’s List with academic records of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or above, or the President’s List with academic records of 4.0, announced Dr. Nancy Barrett, UA provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Alabamians to Receive Society for the Fine Arts Awards from UA

A Fairhope dancer and arts patron, a University of Alabama graduate and noted poet, and two Alabama arts organizations will be honored for their contributions to the arts by The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences during its annual awards gala Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Morgan Hall theatre at 7:30 p.m. The gala will include performances presented by UA fine and performing arts programs.
