TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama School of Law will host its second national conference in the area of disability law in two years.
Co-sponsored by the UA School of Law, Disability Law Institute, Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program and the Alabama Law Review, the conference is scheduled for Oct. 26 at the UA School of Law.
The one-day conference, “Garrett, Disability Policy, and Federalism,” will discuss the U.S. Supreme Court Board of Trustees of The University of Alabama vs. Garrett decision and its impact on Congress’s power to implement a disability policy and other civil rights programs where state government activities are involved.
Featured speakers include leading law professors and legal practitioners from across the country, including Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor.
