Visiting Professor to Teach at UA Law School

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama School of Law will host L. Harold Levinson, recently retired Vanderbilt University Law School professor emeritus, as a visiting faculty member this fall.

Levinson will teach an advanced Legal Profession class focusing on current issues before the profession, including multidisciplinary practice (MDP). Levinson has been active in the American Bar Association and is currently focusing his own research on the subject of MDP, or the inclusion of non-lawyer professionals in law firm partnerships.

Levinson, whose academic interests have focused on professional responsibility, comparative law, administrative law and accounting, had taught at Vanderbilt since 1973. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and holds a J.D. from the University of Miami, a LL.M. from New York University, and a J.S.D. from Columbia University.
