TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s Women’s Resource Center is hosting “Feast & Focus,” a workshop series dedicated to educating and empowering women on campus.
The summer 2001 series will take place on Tuesdays, from noon-1 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Forum. The workshops will cover issues from summer tips to gardening.
Sessions include:
Landscaping and Gardening, on June 26, will feature the staff of Gardens on Main in Northport. Attendees will learn ways to improve their gardens and yards, as well as suggestions on controlling outdoor pests.
Summer Recipes for a Great Cook Out will take place on July 10. The featured speaker will be Debbie Morrison, assistant professor in the UA College of Human Environmental Sciences department of human nutrition and hospitality management.
Canning Fruits and Vegetables, on July 17, will feature Denise Shirley of the Alabama Co-op Extension.
