UA College Of Engineering Offers Summer Program For High School Students

The Student Introduction to Engineering Program in The University of Alabama College of Engineering will host two, week-long residential programs this summer for high school juniors and seniors who have an interest in science, mathematics and engineering. The first session is scheduled for July 8-13, 2001, and the second will be July 15-20, 2001.

UA Student Awarded National Fellowship

Lindsy Farina of Killen, a senior at The University of Alabama, has been awarded a fellowship to attend the 2001 Summer School in Nuclear and Radiochemistry at San Jose State University June 18-July 27.

Wendy Jones recently joined The University of Alabama College of Engineering as coordinator of student recruitment. She was previously an admissions and scholarship counselor for the University.
