Shelby, will be special guests at a site dedication ceremony for the $50 million Shelby Hall, an interdisciplinary science building, to be built at The University of Alabama. Eutaw Student Receives UA Award

Bonita Lasha Oliver (center) of Eutaw received the Vivian Malone Jones Award at Black Scholar’s Day during recent Honors Week ceremonies at The University of Alabama. A student in the UA College of Engineering, Oliver is the daughter of Fannie Oliver. Oliver received the award as a graduating senior with high academic standing. It was named in honor of the first black graduate of UA.
