TUSCALOOSA, Ala . — Millard Fuller, founder and president of Habitat for Humanity International, will be the keynote speaker at the Ecumenical Lecture Series sponsored by The University of Alabama Campus Ministry Association Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom.
Fuller will discuss “More than Homes: The Story of Habitat for Humanity.”
Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian housing organization that has built homes with more than 80,000 families and expects that number to reach 100,000 houses this year.
Fuller is a former millionaire who gave away his fortune to serve the poor, and he has devoted the past 24 years to his vision of ending poverty housing. His leadership has inspired thousands of Habitat volunteers around the world to build low-cost houses together with people who need them.
Fuller’s talk is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Ken Smith at 205/758-3502.
