Media Advisory: Former UA President Joab Thomas to Keynote UA’s “Education in the New Millennium” Event Jan. 14

Former University of Alabama president Joab Thomas will be the keynote speaker for UA’s continuing education seminar, “Blast Off Into the New Millennium,” Friday, Jan. 14, at the Bryant Conference Center.

Thomas will deliver his address, “Continuing Education in the New Millennium” at 9:15 a.m.

The conference, free and open to the general public, begins at 8 a.m. with the “Living and Working in the Future” exhibits display that will feature examples of new technology that will be used in the home and workplace. Exhibitors include Gateway, Troxell Communications, and Moffett Audiovisual. Exhibitors will also be open immediately following Thomas’ address.
