As voters gear up for November’s national elections, law students at The University of Alabama are launching a campaign to make sure voters know their rights and responsibilities when they go to the polls.
The American Water Works Association Alabama-Mississippi section awarded University of Alabama College of Engineering students Renee Morquecho and Katie Vaughn memorial scholarships. The scholarships will support the students’ education in civil and environmental engineering.

The Concert Band of the U.S. Navy will perform at The University of Alabama on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Moody Music Concert Hall.
Older adults and those who care for them are invited to attend a free event where they can learn more about the new Medicare prescription drug benefits, new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and information on other health issues, including ongoing University of Alabama-sponsored treatment studies.
