The UA community will see a new traffic pattern along Sorority Row and beyond when returning to campus this fall.
Colonial Drive between University Boulevard and Bryant Drive will have a two-way traffic pattern for transit buses, state vehicles and emergency responders. The new traffic pattern, which will not be open to the general public, will also run north-south along Ninth Avenue and east-west along Capstone Drive to Margaret Drive.
The enhancement will reduce potential incidents from frequent Crimson Ride stops, mitigate potential pedestrian-vehicle conflicts and improve vehicle flow along University Boulevard and Bryant Drive.
In addition, new multidirectional bike lanes will be added to Colonial Drive, Ninth Avenue, Capstone Drive and Margaret Drive.
