The University of Alabama Libraries will celebrate the solar eclipse on Aug. 21 with free giveaways at four of its five branches.
The event, “Experience the Solar Eclipse,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gorgas Library, Bruno Business Library, Rodgers Library and McLure Education Library.
Tables will be set up at each library where staff will be giving away 1,200 eclipse glasses, MoonPies and Starburst and Milk Way candies.
