Search Extended for Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Leader

The search committee assisting with the selection of a vice president and associate provost for diversity, equity and inclusion met on Dec. 15 and decided to extend the nationwide search to allow the Desir Group, the firm assisting to recruit outstanding candidates, more time to continue its work.  Scheduling around the holidays provided a less-than-ideal time for reaching the most qualified candidates.

The position will continue to be advertised, the search firm will continue its recruitment, and the committee will meet again at the end of January or early February to create a timeline for interviews and campus visits for finalists.
