Financial Analyst to Present ‘Life After College… Can You Afford It?’ at UA Lecture

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Jonathan Pond, acclaimed author and financial media analyst, will serve as an executive-in-residence and guest speaker for The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences on Thursday, April 2.

Pond will lead the presentation, “Life After College … Can You Afford It?” at 2 p.m. in the Child Development Research Center lecture hall on the UA campus. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Pond’s work in educating the public on financial matters has been far-reaching and widely recognized. His 18 prime time public television specials have been critically acclaimed. He is a frequent guest on NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN television news programs, as well as radio programs throughout the country.

Pond has received numerous awards for his media work, including a Gold Medal at the Worldfest International Film Festival and an Emmy award for his contributions to a television series on financial planning in the 21st century.

Pond will be available for interviews following the presentation.
