Media Advisory — UA to Announce Students Named to USA Today All-USA College Academic Team

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama President Robert E. Witt will introduce UA students named to the 2005 USA Today All-USA College Academic Team at a news conference Thursday, Feb. 17, at 1:45 p.m. in the President’s Boardroom (203 Rose Administration Building).

Students receiving this major national honor will be announced in USA Today Thursday morning. UA led the nation in total number of students chosen for the team over the last two years with nine. UA came in just behind Harvard with four students named to the 2004 team and had the most of any school in 2003 with five.
