Boyd Elected SGA President at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Katie Boyd of Enterprise was elected president of The University of Alabama Student Government Association for the 2003-04 term in a second SGA election held this year at UA.

Some 2,649 students voted on paper ballots in the Ferguson Center during the SGA election held April 1-2. UA officials decided to hold a second election after it was discovered that there were irregularities with online voting during the first election held March 10-12.

In the second vote, other executive officers elected were:

Vice President for Academic Affairs — M. Stephen McNair Jr. of Mobile.

Vice President for Student Affairs — Hal Mooty of Montgomery.
